I’m graduating in a few weeks with my BFA in photography, and I’ve been shooting for money for the last 4 years. I’ve lived off of all of my earnings and made it through school, and now I need help getting my business legitimate with new equipment and a studio space to work in. I can’t borrow the school’s equipment anymore so its time for me to spread my wings and fly! I’m a passionate artist that just wants to be behind the camera, or building artistic frames in a little studio. Much of my work is fine art based and revolves around trains and their amazing history. I also adore children and regularly have free contests to give away free portrait sessions to those who can’t afford to pay for one. I have also traveled to Fort Hood to do family portraits for soldiers and their families free of charge through a program set up by Bogen. If I have the equipment I need I will be able to give back to more people and continue to put a roof over my head and possibly even provide contract jobs to those I care about most by hiring them as my assistants.

I want this for you Mariam. You are a wonderful photographer and a splendid person! I'm so glad to have met you. It was a journey for sure! Things will work out for you. You deserve it.
Hi Cblenke, Thanks for the info! I already have everything taken care of for my business as I have been working for 4 years. I love my website, and its a PhotoBiz site. They are a dedicated photography website team who literally have thought of everything a photographer could need! If you don't have one yet, check them out!
Thanks Tiffany!
The other option available is creative crowdfunding. If you check out http://www.kickstarter.com or even http://www.indiegogo.com, you can create a project, ask for some money from the crowd, and then offer various benefits as 'thank you's'. Good luck!
